İPEK KIRAMER

İpek Kıramer was born in Ankara. Ever since she was attending the prestigious Ankara College, she was involved in all kind of cultural activities especially focused on fashion. Since her teenage she had a passion for elegant women lingerie and with her drawing of models she was sending signals to her parents and environment that she would pursue her dream and one day become a respected lingerie designer in Turkey.

In 1979 she came to Istanbul with a pile of own designs under her arm and she opened a workshop. In the first instance she was making haute couture designs on demand for the rich and famous. But in 1985 her designs conquered the Turkish market and in addition to having her own shops, her collections were also sold in haute couture fashion shops all over Turkey.

In Turkey the haute couture nightwear mentality for women as well as men has undergone enormous changes over the years and undoubtedly İpek Kıramer has contributed to this development.
The İpek Kıramer collection counts 7000 models and it has never let go of the 4 main focuses: bright colours, romance, sportive and glamour.

All the fabrics used, of which silk, satin silk, chiffon silk, cotton, lace as well as all accessories are imported from France, Spain and Italy and all embroideries are partly handmade.

The younger generation has also noticed the beautiful designs of İpek Kıramer and to respond to their growing demands, she has created a new line, the IK YOUNG BODY, a collection just for our young people. With this new line İpek Kıramer has again underlined her life philosophy: show how satisfied you are with your life by wearing elegant and good quality lingerie!
